Painting holds meditative qualities for me.  Choosing to paint a mood or a melody with no preconceived notions allows me to connect strongly with each piece.
The tools I choose are as varied as my techniques. Some abstract pieces display brushstrokes, while others are sharply carved with a knife.
Each viewer is able to perceive my paintings in different ways, seeing what they want to see which is not always what I see. My paintings become their vision, as well as my own.
Including the viewer in this manner allows for a highly personal art experience for all involved.
